This full year course is designed for the motivated, creative, and inquisitive science student. It allows students time to independently study an in-depth science or engineering topic of their choice.

Students will have an opportunity to:

• Explore the practice of scientific thinking and learn scientific processes, which will prepare them to meet their educational and career goals

• Acquire skills and concepts inherent in the science research experience

• Explore/ research 3-D printing, medicine, animals, chemistry, human behavior, or even our own Indian River Lagoon

• Compete at the state and regional levels for recognition and award money

• Gain computer, laboratory, and field experiences and join us on field trips
